Hey I know this community is pretty much dead but I thought I'd point out that I've had this music reviewing journal(username:earcandyreviews) for a while. It's just something I started as a hobby because I often do it in my own journal every time I get something.I advertise it a lot in all the otehr communities I'm in but not many people take notice.
It seems like something some of you would be more interested in,music-wise.
If there are any of you left.....

anyways here's the link: http://www.livejournal.com/users/earcandyreviews

i know this community is pretty much dead.
a few people and the tumbleweeds.

but i just thought id ask:
recently i had most of my better music along with my CD player stolen out of my car by the fine inner city folk and i was wondering if any of you had the following CDs?
ive tried this on another community but most of those people only had the heavier stuff...
anyways here's what im missing:

the Red Light Sting - Our Love is Soaking In It
Hum - Maybe You'd Prefer an Astronaut
GYBE - first disc from Raise Yr Skinny Fists to Heaven
Hot Hot Heat - Knock Knock Knock
Liars - They Were Wrong So We Drowned

i think thats it...
i have a lot of empty cases lying around and no way of downloading music right now,my computer blocked soulseek..
if anyone could send me mp3s of those cds id grealty appreciate it.
tahnk you.

So what the hell happened to Modest Mouse???I was never I die-hard fan or anything but I did enjoy listening to them occasionally.Im not up with much pop music these days either but I knew they were getting some fuckedup publicity now.But today I turn on my radio and.....well I dont know what that was.Sure sounded wierd to me.Maybe I missed something...

Here is the deal, Marissa and I have both chosen two people (one each) who we think would best represent the community. I have chosen shewasforever and Marissa has chosen dishonestdon. Get back to me and let me know if you are interested in being the new mods. I am not online enough to do it anymore. As for marissa I don't think she wants to be mod without her devastatingly handsome partner.

Effective immediately I am reclaiming this community. I have removed all the mods except for myself.

If any of you are interested in becoming a mod please write a short paragraph or two and comment for this post. Restate your top 5 bands as well as your taste in music.

I will be getting the Internet with in a week and I will make my decision then.

Name: Bill
Age:18
Location:Syracuse NY
Top five bands: Charge, ed gein, dillinger escape plan, word as a virus, and Bleeding through
Why you like the aforementioned bands*: charge can work a crowd anywhere with so much energy. Ed gein is..well ed gein. need i say more? Dillinger escape plan because the amount of collective talent in the band with all the timing changes and such is incredible. word as a virus is great cause its heave but at the same time its not mosh music so whan you wanna be calm and just chill you can toss it in, and bleeding through cause they help me get pumped before practice and shows.
Other notable bands: give up the ghost, at the drive in, the locust, daughters, corn on macabre, another terrorist organization (ATO), some girls
Best live show: It was a local show with ed gein, charge, regans corpse, ATO, BSS
, and the backup plan
Name a band that you love that we may not have heard of: corn on macabre
Favorite musical era/scene: Hardcore
Summarize your scene and your involvment/opinion in/on it. In an artcore band, go to shows. its becoming more commercial and theres more kids in the scene to be cool or cause their friends do it but there are still some purists around
[If you have no scene to claim, from where do your music interests originate?]
Favorite cd:
Anything else you would like to add: nope.
